How
Driverite started .... |
|
Back
in 1983 John Welch set up as a driving instructor based in Eaton Socon, his
wife Joyce qualified in 1989 and they formed a formidable partnership as
Driverite Driving School. Since that time, our belief in the importance of
quality instruction has seen the driving school go from strength to strength
and there are now many vehicles on the road all under the Driverite banner.
Unfortunately John died in February 2002 but Joyce has continued to
successfully run the school to the present day.
Driverite offer a wide variety of excellent tuition
ranging from the eager 16 year old (off-road) to the more mature, nervous
individual. We provide refresher, motorway, parking and confidence building
courses as well as intensive training. In our everyday teaching we far exceed
the DSA syllabus, producing a high pass rate for our pupils. In fact, we cater
to every driving need as can be seen from other parts of the website.
We are currently celebrating our 35th year as Drive-Rite.
Joyce is and has previously been a member of several professional organisations
such as the DIA nationally and Bedford and District Driving Instructors
Association locally. Joyce was president of BADDIA and she and John were
founder members, indeed, John was its Chairman at the time he died. We strongly
believe that maintaining close ties with these organisations ensures we are
ahead of the game, always up-to date with changes both within the industry and
relating to road safety, this knowledge is then quickly passed on to our
pupils.
The traffic light logo has become a familiar sight around the area since 1983
and you will be able to spot it for many more years to come.
So, if you have been putting off that call, pick up the phone and
speak to Joyce today! |
