The theory test consists of four sections, a multiple choice practise section
explaining how the multiple choice element will work, followed by the multiple
choice itself. This part of the exam will consist of 50 multiple choice
questions. You must answer each question, but you will be able to check and
change answers throughout the test by using the flag and review button. You
must answer 43 or more questions correctly in 57 minutes.
The third part is an instruction video showing how the hazard perception part
of the theory test works, you can watch this video twice if you wish. This is
followed by the hazard perception element itself. You will be asked to
understand the whole road scene and to recognise possible traffic hazards at an
early stage, as they develop. There will be 14 film clips and 15 scoreable
hazards. You will only see the clips once, you cannot go back and you cannot
change your response.
You must score a total of 44 marks out of a possible 75 on the Hazard
Perception Test.
You will be told immediately if you have passed or failed and provided with an
Official Driving Theory Test Certificate.
